Friday night plans just got a whole lot worldlier. The Setai, a Miami Beach hangout for people who look better than the average Joe and appreciate life’s finer things is celebrating its Asian heritage with a weekly pass to the Forbidden City. The Asian Night Bazaar, set amidst the hotel’s Courtyard, features various food and drink stands as well as live entertainment. Fire dancers and contortionists that will make you question everything you thought you couldn’t do at Yoga class set the mood for a night filled with exotic ambient beats, eats and people watching.
Come in hungry. For the $65 entrance fee you’ll get unlimited access (7:00 p.m.- 10:00 p.m.) to food carts with bao buns, grilled skewers (beef, shrimp and chicken), shumai shrimp and poke. I am pretty sure I was on a first name basis with the dumplings station attendant.
The price also includes a complimentary welcome cocktail and two beverage tokens per guest to be used at one of the cocktail stations including Japanese whiskey and Sake.
