Fi’lia

By: Dana Rozansky

Today I’m here to Fi’lia in on something important, so listen up.

If you read my recent review of Michael’s Genuine, you’ll know I’m quite the fan of Michael Schwartz. This James Beard Award-winning chef has certainly made a name for himself in Miami and beyond with restaurants including Michael’s Genuine, Harry’s Pizzeria, Cypress Tavern and Ella. So when I heard he was opening a new restaurant – in Brickell, no less – you could say I was pretty stoked.

I’d like to introduce you to Fi’lia, Schwartz’s brand new Italian eatery, located at the SLS in Brickell.

In just one week, this sleek yet simplistic restaurant has already turned into one of the hottest reservations in town – which is no surprise given Michael Schwartz’s track record.

Schwartz describes his food as “honest Italian” and assures customers that they’re in for “unpretentious food and an experience to match.” After having dined at Fi’lia, I can attest to the fact that he nailed it yet again.

Fi’lia’s menu is packed with Italian classics, but there’s also a wide enough variety for those looking to mix it up a bit. Schwartz created a menu filled with options to please everyone from your carb-lover to your carnivore to your vegetarian alike.

Here’s a visual tour of some of my favorites…try not to drool on the screen:

What I like most about Fi’lia is the fact that it manages to embody the fine dining experience without the fuss. You can count on A+ service and ambiance while still indulging in foods that make you feel right at home. So next time you’re looking to impress a date, your family or even your boss with some upscale Italian, you can tell them Miami Food Porn filled ya in on this new spot called Fi’lia.
