Tucked away in the heart of Downtown Miami rests a hidden gem where the sushi is aplenty and the sake flows like…uh…wine.

After keeping this secret to myself for months, I decided it was time to share the wealth and introduce you all to my go-to sushi spot: Kone.

To declare a place my “go-to” is certainly not a decision I take lightly… so I bet you’re wondering why Kone is so deserving of this coveted title.

First, you should know that Kone isn’t your typical sushi joint. While the looks of it are unassuming, I’d like to remind you not to judge a book by its cover. The moment you’re handed a menu, however, is when the magic starts to happen.

Kone has got this exotic thing going for it, bringing a Brazilian twist to Asian-inspired classics. The fish is as fresh as it gets and the menu will have you asking, “But how will I choose between all of these amazing rolls?!” The answer: YOU DON’T HAVE TO!

Why? Because Kone has answered every sushi fanatic’s prayers by bringing the “All You Can Eat” concept to Downtown Miami for less than the cost of two rolls at your snootier sushi spots (not naming any names)!

From Monday through Thursday, Kone offers UNLIMITED sushi for $32.95, and in case that’s not enough of a steal, they make the deal even sweeter for the ladies on Tuesday’s. Let me tell you that sushi with my girls takes on a whole new meaning at Kone, where unlimited sushi is just $24.99.  What’s the catch? Only the freshest tuna, yellowtail, salmon…you catch my drift.

So now that I’ve told you just some of the many reasons Kone is my go-to, it’s time to show you.

Below are just a few of the show-stoppers:

Rock shrimp tempura with house spicy mayo and topped with masago and scallions

Tuna, salmon and yellowtail carpaccio with sea salt, spicy mayo and truffle oil

Ceviche sampler (yellowtail, octopus, shrimp, tuna and salmon)

Pure Protein roll: Riceless roll with salmon, tuna, shrimp and kani rolled with soy paper and served with ponzu and truffle oil

Heart to heart roll: spicy tuna topped with chopped salmon, scallions and spicy mayo

Now, word to the wise – save room for dessert. I’m adamant about this. You do not want to miss their unreal assortment of dessert kones, ranging from nutella and strawberry to dulce de leche to Brigadeiro.
