Most Anticipated Restaurant Openings

By: Dana Rozansky

While I’ve always been proud to call Miami home, I can confidently say that my pride continues to grow year after year. Our city seems to be in a constant state of reinvention and self-improvement and I. AM. HERE. FOR IT. I love seeing Miami making strides in all facets of life, but let’s be honest…I’m most intrigued by how it impacts our food scene. In recent years, Miami has been graced with countless new restaurants, backed by award-winning chefs who truly put their money where their mouth is. But it’s only the beginning, and we’re always gearing up for more.

So in case you were wondering what’s in store during the next few months, I’m here to break it down for you. Let’s take a look at the most anticipated restaurant openings of the year, shall we?

Amare

What to Expect: Located South of Fifth, Amare will offer artfully prepared Southern Italian fare in a glamorous setting. Backed by an award-winning restauranteur and a Michelin Starred chef, this place is sure to impress. Guests can enjoy classic dishes made in-house with seasonal ingredients flown directly from Italy. The expansive menu will include carpaccio, tartare, salads, pastas and entrees from both land and sea.

Via Emilia Garden

Location: Midtown
Cuisine: Italian
Opening Date: June

What to Expect: If you’ve ever dined at Via Emilia 9 on South Beach, then you’re probably as giddy as I am about their latest venture. If Via Emilia Garden is half as charming as Via Emilia 9, we’re all in for a treat. The team’s new concept will give guests an indoor garden dining experience and may seat up to 100 guests for lunch and dinner. Similar to Via Emilia 9, the garden will serve classic Italian fare including meats & cheeses galore.

What to Expect:  Internationally acclaimed Nikkei restaurant Osaka marks its North American debut with its Miami location in Brickell. Osaka is a multi-sensory and award-winning experience that merges Japanese techniques with the best Peruvian flavors and ingredients. There are 9 restaurants throughout South America, including one in Buenos Aires which I’ve dined at several times. Believe me when I tell you Osaka is not to be missed. Let the countdown begin!
