Sip, Swirl, and Shop at this new SOMI Wine Boutique

Ever tried a wine from the French Bandol region? I hadn’t until I visited Domaine Souviou, a recently-debuted specialty wine bar in South Miami. Located near the east coast of Marseille and Cassis, Bandol is a key appellation of the Provence wine region covering red, white and rosé wines with a high proportion of the Mourvédre grape varietal. While Côtes de Provence has grown in popularity among American wine drinkers, Bandol has had limited exposure in the US…until now. Domaine Souviou opened its doors this past March, and the boutique wine bar is re-defining the way Miamians drink and understand wine, offering vintages with over a thousand years of tradition produced with sustainable farming methods and harvested by hand, carefully sorted and trimmed at the entrance of the cellar.

A good dish is the perfect companion to bring the best notes out of outstanding wine and Domaine Souviou has carefully crafted a menu of light bites, dips, spreads and specialty products that perfectly complement their whites, reds, and rosés. Their artichoke and truffle cream is to die for as well as their assortment of cheeses and charcuterie. With every day tastings, there are plenty of opportunities for wine lovers to develop their palate and understanding of the Domaine Souviou collection, from the refreshing and dry Bandol Rosé to the signature Bandol Delphi. Not a wine snob? They also offer refreshing wine-based cocktails, perfect for sipping at their courtyard on a Miami summer day– take advantage of their Wine Wednesdays, Ladies’ Night Tuesdays, and Happy Hour specials.

Those who want to continue their journey through France at home can enjoy the boutique’s selection of specialty olive oils. Home to over 12 different varietals of olive trees, Domaine Souviou produces oils that are pressed by hand to ensure their freshness and taste. Natural beauty products made with olive oils are also available for purchase.

Domaine Souviou Wine Bar Boutique is open seven days a week and is located at 5760 Sunset Drive.
