If you ever find yourself in the 954 with a fierce craving for brunch, Steak 954 has you covered. This restaurant by the sea at the W Hotel Fort Lauderdale is just another popular dining destination in a long line of Stephen Starr restaurants that include South Florida favorites like Makoto, Verde and The Continental, just to name a few.
But there are several things that make this spot stand out amongst the rest and reason enough for anyone to make the hour-long trek to Fort Lauderdale:
1. Take advantage of the beachside outdoor seating. With the Florida coast right across the street, you'll be treated to brunch with a view and the always welcome brush of ocean breeze.
2. Sundays with Steph should and will be a thing. As one of the best servers in the game, a request for Stephanie almost guarantees a party and just flat out great service—two things that are invaluable when we talk brunch.
3. Steak 954 recently unveiled a brunch-only cocktail menu that gives your regular Sunday plans a shot of adrenaline when compared to the yawn-worthy idea of ANOTHER mimosa fueled brunch. Although you can't go wrong with any of the master crafted cocktails, you’ll find the “The Layover” (spiced rum, cold brew and ginger syrup) to be a favorite among staff and brunchers alike.
Now, here are some of my favorites from this Starr-studded brunch menu:
