The Wholly Kitchen

WHOLLY REVELATION: Food Porn comes in all different shapes & sizes.

When we think of food porn, we often think of artery-clogging, heartburn-inducing items that feel so right when consumed, yet so wrong when digested.

I’m here to correct the notion that food porn is always fattening. Don’t get me wrong – if you’ve scrolled through our Instagram account you know that most of our choices are a far cry from healthy; however, we occasionally have our redeeming moments.

You’re about to witness one of them.

In the aftermath of South Beach Wine & Food Festival and other indulgences, I was starting to feel weighed down (literally) by it all. Sure, bacon wrapped dates and sky-high burgers are my kryptonite, but I figured it was time to hit the reset button and give my body a little much-needed detox.

Enter The Wholly Kitchen, my saving grace.

The Wholly Kitchen is a Miami-based meal delivery service and gourmet food company that uses the freshest, highest-quality ingredients to keep clients (even demanding and insatiable ones like myself) happy and healthy.

Below are FIVE reasons I’m wholeheartedly hooked on The Wholly Kitchen:

1.     Convenience

First of all, the signup process is easy as could be. All you have to do is check out the website, fill out a client form, select your meal plan and then anxiously wait for your big, red Wholly bag of freshly made goodies to arrive at your doorstep each day! Now tell me that’s not easier than driving to Whole Foods, wandering the aisles of overwhelming (and pricey) options, lugging home groceries, cooking (gasp) and cleaning…

2.     Customer Service

Andrea Prado, owner & chef of The Wholly Kitchen, is committed to making this an experience you’ll love. As if she’s not busy enough running her own business and cooking up a storm, she takes the time to personally reach out to each and every customer to make sure they’re satisfied.

3.     Variety

First, you can select from paleo, traditional or vegan. Next, peep the menu! If you browse the sample menus on their website, you’ll quickly find that this meal service is anything but ordinary. This is not your boring egg whites for breakfast, salad for lunch, fish for dinner type of deal. Some of the inventive items include apple & pear chia power doughnuts and an arepa breakfast sandwich with a sunny side up egg. Plus, The Wholly Kitchen NEVER repeats a menu item, so you’ll always be on your toes.

4.     Portion Size

o   I know what you’re thinking – with items like doughnuts and arepas, they’re probably bite-sized to keep them “healthy” – WRONG! These meals are hearty, healthy and packed with ingredients such as chia seeds that will keep you full and energized throughout the day. The portions are surprisingly large and will satisfy even the most active appetites.

5.     Taste

Let’s put it this way - if you served The Wholly Kitchen’s food to me at a restaurant, I wouldn’t think twice. This isn’t your typical bland, flavorless health food that you’ll find in other delivery services. I must admit I even had a few moments where I thought to myself, “This tastes way too good to be so healthy” which is the ultimate taste test in my opinion.

Now it’s time to show you what a day in the life of a Wholly Kitchen-er looks like:
